Things to do differently next time:
  • Make Collar bigger
  • Pockets bigger
  • No adjusting the length that was good
  • Better stitching
  • Last but not least: Use a more precise pattern!

Whole outfit, Top only and More Detailed Top only.

Disneyland

One of the perks of being a Southern CA resident now is that I can get admission to both Disneyland and California Adventure for the price of just one admission. So on Wednesday Liane and I are going to redeem our other ticket and go to California Adventure. Pics will follow.

Beverly Hills 90210

Thats right! I ve been there now! Kraig's company held their annual recognition convention in Beverly Hills this year. We stayed at

Apparently all but 5 rooms in the hotel belonged to his company and the employees. I must say it was one of the nicest hotels I have been in. I dont know how much it cost because we didnt have to pay for it! Woo Hoo!
Since Kraig and I now live close by we had our vehicles and were able to the following day go to to the
Star Walk,
Kodak Theatre,

Chinese Theater,

Guiness Book of World Records ,

This man was 8 feet 11 inches tall! Kraig is short for once!
This mans waist was 9 feet 11 inches when they measured it!

the Wax Museum

and the Griffith Observatory to see the HOLLYWOOD SIGN.

That night we had the Formal Dinner.
Kraig and Ben

The Crew

Dominique, Dave and Kraig. Fresno Crew!

3 of his coworkers all received awards for their hard work and continued efforts to the
company. Next year hes gonna get one!

And that was just Friday.

Saturday. We went to Venice Beach

Santa Monica Piers,

and the La Brea Tar Pits.

No its not a real elephant, but inside the museum they have recovered bones of all different types of animals that were found over the years in these tar pits. I think there are like 90 all together but only 5 are open to the public for viewing.

After we finished Saturday we went back to the hotel for another nice dinner, which had a rock and roll band play for us as an after show. Three Dog Night...Never heard of them until last night. They were okay.

Update on New Projects....

Hey Everyone,
Bare with me, Ive been busy making/sewing new projects and havent had the time or camera to take the pictures. I am going to just put the pictures up with only a little discription so...sorry. If you want any patterns I cant give them to you, I dont have them. I come up with all the designs on my own as I go.

#1 Polka Dot Bag- The outside is made of khaki pants and the inside is a red polka dot fine woven fabric.

#2 Canvas Ba
g The outside is canvas and the inside is a really great leafy vine pattern.

#3 Quilt
- This was already made by someone else, I just put the backing on and completed the border. It was so nice to finish this.

#4 Blue Polka Dot
bag, Same fabric as red polka dot bag, but different color and different canvas.

#5 Stethoscope Sleeve
- I found this great fabric for making my Nursing bag out of . With the left overs I made a sleeve for my stethoscope so it doesn't hurt my neck as much.

#6 Jean Bag-
Old pair of jean pants and nice deep purple on inside.

#7 Clutch-
Small handheld clutch, with one button.

#8 Watermelon Bag #4-
I have made 3 other bags out of this material all with different inside colors. I bought a whole bolt of this fabric and look for new and exciting ways to combine it with other colors.

That should put me up to speed with the projects I have completed lately, look for scrapbooks and for knitting projects coming too! Those take me a little longer though.
Oh yeah I have two table runners that I also completed but they are not anything fancy.

Update on Life, Nursing, Family and General Stuff

So its been about a month now that I have worked as a official Nurse! I am still so proud of this accomplishment I cannot believe it came true! It feels so remarkable to have achieved this goal that I set out for myself. It just goes to show that whatever I want I can get with a lot of perserverance and hard work. There were a lot of trials, tribulations and tests along the way but that what has made it all so worthwhile.

Anywho few things. Kraig and I are now living together its going well, we have had a few kinks but been able to work them out! I feel so fortunate to have a man that is as supportive as he is. I take this for granted and certainly do not tell him as much as I should.

Next, my little baby brother is 16 years old! What a big day! I can still remember when he was born! Hes becoming a strong, independent and kind young man. I look forward to what the future holds for him. Although I am a little scared at the same time. He is doing the best he ever has in school and I am very proud of this accomplishment of his. He'll be driving soon! Yikes! Today he told me he would really like to pursue a career as a Movie Director! What a goal!

As Monday approaches it is the seven Year anniversary of my Grandmother's passing, every minute that I have of the day she is on the forefront of my mind. I have come to realize how much I am like her. I love her and miss her dearly.
